We Handle the Rest
Artist introductions, itinerary, transportation between stops. All arranged, so you can focus on the experience.
Go Deeper
Leave with relationships, context, and a view of the Hudson Valley art world most visitors never see.
Every itinerary is shaped by artist availability, exhibitions, and the season. No two tours are exactly alike. We'll often spend longer than planned in one studio because the conversation gets interesting. That's part of the experience.
Experiences
The working heart of the Hudson Valley art scene, where artists' studios sit alongside independent galleries and former industrial buildings have become creative spaces.
Studios tucked into a historic village, with a creative community that rewards slowing down and looking closely.
A quieter destination where artists, landscape, and history intersect in unexpected ways.
Known for its remarkable concentration of contemporary galleries, Hudson offers a chance to experience one of the Northeast's most influential small art communities.
Meet Your Guide
I've spent nearly twenty years working within contemporary art as an exhibitions manager, studio manager, production manager, and practicing artist. My career has taken me from New York galleries to the studios of internationally recognized artists, and for the past decade I've built my life and career in the Hudson Valley.
As an artist myself, I've learned that the most meaningful experiences with art rarely happen in a gallery alone. They happen in working studios, over coffee, during installation, and through relationships built over years.
I created The Art Current because I wanted to share that world. Every experience is thoughtfully curated around the people, places, and conversations that have made the Hudson Valley one of the country's most vibrant creative communities.
I hope you'll leave with more than photographs or a list of galleries. I hope you'll leave with a deeper understanding of the artists who live and work here, and a connection to this place that stays with you long after the day is over.
Kate has worked with Jeffrey Gibson, Katie Stout, Piotr Uklański, Lisa Cooley Gallery, Greene Naftali, SEPTEMBER, Parsons School of Design, and MoMA PS1 projects.
"Intimate access to the artists, makers, and spaces that define this landscape."
